AN EVENING OF CREATIVE VOICES:  Sean will be hosting a songwriting workshop for students that will be capped off with an intimate evening performance led by Sean, including Highland & New Paltz High School students, performing "An Evening of Creative Voices". Talented students will perform songs and poetry - many in front of a live audience for the very first time! The event is Wed, May 26th from 6-8PM at the Mudd Puddle Cafe in downtown New Paltz at the Water St Market. It is open to the public.

The Trapps are entering the recording studio in June & July to begin recording their 3rd album. No working title as of yet, but be sure to keep a close eye on our facebook & home-page, as we plan on utilizing YOU, our friends & fans, to help us make this next album.

RACE FOR A CAUSE:
As many of you know, Sean's father, the late Dr. Bruce Schenker passed away a few years ago. As a way to heal & bring the community together, the Schenker family created a 5k Run/Walk in his honor. This year, the 3rd Annual Bruce Schenker Memorial 5k Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 9:30 PM @ The Gilded Otter in New Paltz, NY. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Children's Carousel Fund as well as an Art Scholarship for children. Runners, walkers and families are encouraged to participate. Currently, the band is in the studio working and arranging songs for their untitled 3rd album release.  Hard to believe that The Trapps are turning the corner on nearly 9 years together so there is much to look forward to! Be sure to check the website often & be on the lookout for a major concert announcement near the middle of this month - we're keeping it a secret until mid-April when the final festival line-up is in effect!

Sunday, May 2nd - The New Paltz Regatta, downtown New Paltz - 1PM-4PM. The Trapps will perform all day long while local residents float on their self-made rafts down the Walkill!

Saturday, May 15th - Whistling Willies, Cold Spring, NY - 8:00PM-11:00PM. The Trapps finally return to Cold Spring to tear the roof off the place again!

• The Trapps are thrilled to announce that their song "Lullaby" off of Cheap Seats is going to be featured on ALL International Flights on Lufthansa Airlines In-Flight Music Series starting in March and lasting for 3 months. The song will be played thousands of times for travelers using this airline. The Trapps are one of only a few independent artists to have been afforded this amazing opportunity.  Who knew when Sean wrote the song about his future daughter that it would be joining so many folks traveling the world!

• The Trapps would like to extend a very heartfelt "Thank you" to our good friend Kay Cordtz who wrote a terrific review for the band in this months (March) Elmore Magazine. Elmore Magazine is a national music publication based out of NYC & The Trapps new CD Cheap Seats is not only reviewed in this current issue, but they share the FRONT COVER with Alice Cooper!  The issue is not yet available online, but we'll keep you posted on when it pops up.

• The band is excited to announce that they will be shooting their first, official music video on Friday, March 19th in NYC at Smash Studios.  Our friend Neil, at Blizzard Productions, is developing the video & shoot speifics for the song HOPE. We hope to have a version of it up on our site by April. We'll keep you posted!
