Sean & Jason will be tracking a new song called "His Own Cross" to submit for consideration for an upcoming CD compilation raising money & awareness on poverty - more news on that once we know if we've been "chosen"!

The 5-year anniversary of Phoenicia Phirst Phridays "Songwriter Series" - Friday, Jan 6th at 8:00PM. Sean will perform an intimate solo acoustic set at 8PM to celebrate the anniversary.
The Trapps perform an acoustic set opening for Rhett Miller (of the Old 97's) at The Orient in Poughkeepsie on Friday Jan 13th at 7:30PM. Tickets available at www.wdst.com
The Trapps return to their "adopted hometown" venue The High Falls Cafe - Saturday, Jan 28th at 8:30PM. Get there early for dinner & a table as the place gets jammed when the band is in town!

Come celebrate our final show of 2011 along with a nod towards our tenth year together as a band! We are very grateful for the continued support & look forward to bringing you our 3rd full length album in 2012.
The Trapps Open for Donna The Buffalo this Friday night, Dec 16th at The Bearsville Theater. Doors are at 8PM. The Trapps opening set begins promptly at 9:00PM.

Sorry for the last minute update here, but Sean's solo acoustic set opening for Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens has been cancelled this Saturday Dec 10th. Apparently, Pat has a year long gig in Vegas & is unavailable to do the gig. Our apologies...ahhhh, the music business!

The band has some great stuff planned for the Fall - new venues, new markets, new music & continuing to work hard on our 3rd, forthcoming, CD. We are still in the process of tracking, but are excited at what we are creating & look forward to getting it to you in the near future.
In the middle of this month we will be hitting the terrific town of Great Barrington, MA in the Berkshires. This will our first time playing here at the GypsyJoynt Cafe...Near the end of the month we will be in Nyack during the Nyack Street Festival.
In early October, we are honored to have been invited to perform during WRIP 97.9FM's Benefit for Greene County Hurricane Irene victims - this area of the Hudson Valley was hit very hard & we are grateful to be able to share our music as part of the healing & rebuilding that will be needed there. Early October also finds the band headlining New Paltz' COTA Festival (Celebration of The Arts).
Then, we wrap up pre-holiday festivities in early November with a home area show at the High Falls Cafe & a celebrated return to the amazing Howland Cultural Center in Beacon. Sean finishes the 2011 year with a solo slot opening for the incredible Pat DiNizio (of The Smithereens).

THURSDAY JUNE 23 - 6:30PM - HEADLINING THE FALCON in MARLBORO - The Trapps will be headlining the amazing "Live at The Falcon" in Marlboro, NY. This venue was recently written up in the NY Times as one of the best live music venues anywhere! The show starts EARLY too...doors at 6PM, and our very dear friends The Sweet Clementines open the show at 7:00PM. They have a terrific new CD out too so be sure to grab yourself a copy! The Trapps will be on at 7:45PM-9:00PM. We encourage you to come out & support live music & this is a terrific venue & place to do just that.

Beyond fronting The Trapps, Sean is also a martial arts instructor of children. The Marbletown Multi-Arts Center (MaMA), one of the locations where he teaches, is hosting a benefit concert to raise money & awareness for this important community organization. The Trapps will be joined by Blue Doll (featuring Sarah Perrotta) along with amazing raffle prizes for classes during this benefit concert for MaMA.

The Trapps will be making their debut in Stroudsburg, PA on Friday, Nov 12th at the Sarah St Grill. To help promote the show - the band, Penns Peak Radio, The Pocono Record, and Main Street Jukebox in Stroudsburg, along with our terrific publicist, Gil Coronado of CILA Mngmnt, have sponsored a contest to get YOU, the fans, directly involved with the concert. From October 20th - November 10th, fans are invited to create a music video (25MB limit) for The Trapps song HOPE (off of their album Cheap Seats). These videos can be made in any format - hand held cameras, cell phones, professionally shot, etc...the concept is to create a video for the band's song HOPE & submit it to the address listed below. One winner will be announced at 3:00PM on Friday, Nov 12th on The Karen Kixx Radio Show on Penns Peak Radio (www.pennspeakradio.com) - their video will then be played in conjunction with the band's performance that same evening on the big large screen monitor at the venue!! The winner will also receive a free "signed" CD & poster along with dinner for 2 at the Sarah St Grill. So, get creative, make a video, send it our way & let's see what YOU, the fans, come up with!
